A good night's sleep . . .

I know this is boring stuff, but I thought I would try to record what's happening on a daily basis so that at some point we could look back at it and remember the moments as they passed. Let's see. Last night Caleb had his first night out with Mom and Dad. We took him to the Wilmington Island Club and met Jack, Jeff, and Jud, Shannon and Gena there. After happy hour there, we went with the Hills to Uncle Bubba's Oyster House on Wilmington Island. This is Bubba Hiers' (Paula Deen's brother) new restaurant. The food was good. The company was good. The service was slow. Caleb did great. No crying. We fed him some at the restaurant and when we got home, put him down in his crib at 10PM. He slept until 4:30AM when Daddy got up and fed him. He went back down until about 5:30AM when Mommy got up and fed him. He seems to be slipping into a routine of sleeping five to six hours per night. Mommy and Daddy are very pleased and relieved.

Caleb Day One Posted by Hello

Caleb

I'm going to post periodically with updates on Caleb's growth and progress detailing what milestones he is crossing and what's going on with him and his parents. The latest is he has started to smile and communicate with us making cooing noises and smiling. He continues to eat prodigously sometimes eating eight ounces of breastmilk at a time.
