A Masters to Remember

Caleb joined Jessica and me in Augusta, GA this past weekend for the Masters Tournament. Wow! What an exciting finish with Tiger Woods picking up his fourth green jacket. We had a great time as always hanging out with Harry and his friends and Dan and Harriet. This was my tenth Masters in eleven years. It's always so much fun to be there. Caleb is continuing to grow. He seems to have put on a good deal of weight in the last couple of weeks with his legs and arms becoming a little bit "chunky". He is still struggling with sleeping through the night and some nights are better than others. He got two cute Masters outfits in Augusta from the pro shop. One is a green (figures it would be green) polo shirt style onesie with the Masters logo on it and the other is a striped onesie of a little different style also with the Augusta National logo. He looks really cute in them and I will post pictures this weekend. Jessica claims that he's laughing now and while he does make some sounds of delight when he's happy, papa is not so sure it's a laugh. Well, that's all to report for now.

Update

I haven't had time to post in a few weeks, so I'll do a recap of the last few weeks. Caleb is doing quite well in most respects. He continues to eat vociferously often nearly outstripping supply. During March he learned to roll over from his tummy to his back. We're still working on the other direction, but it should be any day now. He has also started to notice his hands and to reach out for objects, though it's difficult to tell if it is just reflexive action or purposeful. He had a big Easter at Grandma and Granddaddy Smith's house. He went to the service with the parental units and slept through the entire service. He seemed to enjoy the organ and choir music, smiling when the organ would strike up. On Wednesday, March 23, Caleb and Mommy went to Edisto to be with the grandparents, Cousin Mira and Aunt Emily (or Auntie Emily if you prefer). He did not get to visit the actual beach as the weather was a bit blustery, but perhaps next time. Caleb's first trip to the Masters is coming up this weekend and we trust that he will enjoy the excitement of a Masters weekend in Augusta. On a disappointing note, he is still not sleeping well and Mommy and Daddy are at wit's end as to how to get him to sleep more than a two hour stretch. We're verrrry tired. We have some new pictures which I will post when I am able. We have had some computer issues over the past two weeks and should be back up and running this week.
